Your Favicon

You can quickly and easily add your brand to your Nucleus by uploading a custom favicon to show beside your URL in the address bar. 

What is a favicon?

A favicon, also known as a shortcut icon, website icon, tab icon, URL icon, or bookmark icon, is a file containing one or more small icons, associated with a particular website or web page (Wikipedia).

Configuring your Nucleus favicon

To add a favicon to your Nucleus, begin by navigating to your Nucleus Settings page while logged in to your Nucleus account.

Then, in the left sidebar, click 'Branding' under the 'Church' section. 

Scroll down to the bottom to find the section titled 'Favicon'. This is the upload tool you can use to add a favicon to your Nucleus.

NOTE: Favicons are meant to be square images (often with a transparent background) and we recommend uploading a file with dimensions of 228x228 pixels for optimal appearance.

TIP: This favicon will also appear as the logo on mobile devices when your Nucleus is saved to a user's home screen.

NOTE: If your favicon is black with a transparent background, it will appear as if it doesn't load when your Nucleus is saved to a user's home screen on iPhone devices because the app square is initially black. If you use a black logo for your favicon, we recommend including a colored background to it for this reason.
