Hide pages, sermons & playlists
Setting a page's, sermon's, or playlist's visibility as private is super simple, but first, let's break down what public and private mean.
Public
By default, all pages, sermons, and playlists you create will be set to public. This means they are fully visible, searchable on your Nucleus, and open for search engines like Google to index for their search results.
Hidden
Setting a page, sermon, or playlist as hidden means it is accessible by direct link only. People will not be able to search for this page on your Nucleus, it won't be displayed automatically in populated sections on your site, and it won't be searchable in search engines like Google.
Now that we have cleared that up, let's show you how to change the visibility within all three options.
Hiding Pages
To set the visibility of a page, start by going to the All Pages section of your Nucleus dashboard. (Or click here.)
Next, click the cogwheel icon of the page you want to hide.
Finally, scroll down and find the Visibility option within the page settings. Click the dropdown menu and select the Hidden option.
Once you've done that, click Save Changes and you're all set!
Sermons/Playlist
Changing the visibility settings for sermons/playlists is very similar to hiding a page. Start by navigating to your Nucleus Sermons.
Either while creating a sermon or editing one, at the bottom of your sermon's settings, you'll see the Visibility section.
Click the dropdown menu and select the Hidden option. Once you've done that, click Save Changes and you're all set!
In the same way, while creating or editing a playlist, you will find a Visibility option to select the hidden option from.
Simply go to your All Playlists section and create/edit a playlist there.
Keep in mind...
- Private pages will still display on the homepage if you add them there, and private sermons will still display in playlists if you add them to a public playlist. When hidden is set for a page, sermon, or playlist, we will discourage search engines from indexing these items by adding the noindex meta tag: <meta name="robots" content="noindex">
