Setting Up Your Nucleus Classic Web

While there are many different settings to adjust and various products within Nucleus, there are 6 essential areas that are crucial to launch your building process of your Nucleus 💪

Step #1: Branding

Every Nucleus needs a bit of branding, specifically a logo that people can quickly identify your church with. While branding encompasses more than just images, logos are a part of your church's branding.

This is the first step we recommend working on, uploading the various logos you may have for your church:

  • Main logo
  • Alternative logo
  • Mobile logo
  • Favicon

To learn more about each of these logos and best logo practices to follow (such as sizing, dimensions, and preferred image file types), check out this article.

Step #2: Footer

Every website needs a footer. Your Nucleus is no exception. A footer is a great place to include crucial information that any visitor would need to know about your church, specifically contact information. The footer is found at the bottom of every page on your Nucleus and looks something like this 👇

Every footer should include the following basic information:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Physical address/location
  • Contact email
  • Phone number

Of course, you can add other information if you'd like! After all, it's your footer. Those are just the pieces of information we believe is essential to making the best Nucleus possible.

Step #3: Social Icons

Social icons are images that appear in your footer that allow visitors to easily connect with you on the various social media platforms your church is active on. If you don't currently have an account on any social media platform, you can skip this portion, but we recommend that every church be present on at least one social media platform.

You can include any variation of the following social icons:

  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • YouTube
  • Vimeo
  • Snapchat
  • TikTok
  • Website URL

Typography is just a fancy word that means the font you use on your Nucleus. Nucleus has a direct integration with Google Fonts, meaning you can choose from hundreds of fonts for both your heading and body text. Below are two examples 👇

The default font is Camphor Pro (not shown in the images above). If your church has a style guide, we recommend changing the default font to something that matches it. Otherwise, be creative and find something that's both legible and looks good!
